Reflect
Lent is not only a time of “giving up.” It’s also a time of “giving in” to God’s will for our lives. It’s a time of “giving out” to the people who need our help, “giving over” control of our hearts to the Holy Spirit, and “giving away” the clutter and business that keeps us from spending time with God.

Dear God,
Help me to be a more giving person.
Let my sacrifices during this Lent draw me closer to you.
I want to relinquish control of my life’s direction
and instead embrace your plans for me.
I want to share my gifts with those around me.
I want to get rid of the clutter in my life
and spend time with you in the quiet of my heart.
