Was Jesus’ public ministry prompted solely by his desire to get all of us into heaven—or did he have something more in mind for his followers? I’m convinced Jesus is as interested in our lives now as he is about where we’re going to spend eternity.
If we look at Jesus as human, as his earliest disciples did, it may change the way we follow his teachings.
When people ask during what period of history, besides the present one, I would prefer to have lived, I have no problem answering. I would have loved to have been alive during the 1,100 years when people were adding books to the Bible.
