Today is the feast of the apostles Philip and James. The Gospel reading that has been chosen for today shows Philip asking Jesus to show him the Father. It’s a reading we just heard the other day.
We all want to see the Father. We know that our worth and our happiness consist in living in the love of the Father in the kingdom of heaven. We also know that our path to heaven lies in and through our sharing the life of Jesus. There’s no way to the Father except through Jesus, because Jesus and the Father are one.
The way to the Father simply calls for us to live out the life of Jesus that we share as his disciples.
