St. Patrick is one of the most well-known saints of Ireland. He converted thousands, and drove the snakes out of the land on the mountain Croagh Patrick. Even though he was not born in Ireland, God led him there for a specific mission and ministry.

Lord, thank you for the example of St. Patrick.
He overcame many struggles in his life
and, at every turn, relied on you.
He said yes to going where you needed him.
Allow us the same openness of Patrick’s heart
to follow where you lead.

Look up the story of St. Patrick today and reflect on his witness. Identify some of the “snakes” that need to be driven out of your heart and ask God for the strength to take those first, crucial steps.
